Defect
Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2025 Cedar Creek CRT40RDE Fifth Wheel trailers. Undersized axles and tires may have been installed, which can lead to a tire detaching. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 120, "Wheels and Rims - Other Than Passenger Cars."
Consequence
A detached tire increases the risk of crash.
Corrective action
Dealers will replace axles and tires, free of charge. The two affected vehicles have not been sold from dealer inventory and therefore no owner letters will be mailed. Forest River's customer service number is 1-260-593-4000. Forest River's number for this recall is 20-1873.
