Defect
Bridgestone Americas Tire Operation (BATO) is recalling certain Firestone Destination LE3 tires, size 265/70R17. The belt edge insert (BEI) may be out of position, decreasing tire durability and causing tread separation. As such, these tires fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 139, "New Pneumatic Radial Tires for Light Vehicles."
Consequence
Tread separation may increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective action
Dealers will replace the tires as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 11, 2026. Owners may contact BATO's customer service at 1-800-847-3272.
