Defect
Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2020-2025 Freightliner eCascadia and 2022-2026 Freightliner eM2 trucks. The electric vehicle power distribution module (EVDM) may not be assembled properly, which can cause electrical circuits to disconnect and result in a loss of drive power.
Consequence
A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.
Corrective action
Dealers will inspect and repair or replace the EVDM as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 20, 2025. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712. DTNA's number for this recall is F1017.
