Defect
Vee Tyre and Rubber Co., Ltd. (Vee Tyre) is recalling certain Taiga AT tires, size LT235/85R16 AT. The lower sidewall and inner liner may crack and separate. As such, these tires fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 139, "New Pneumatic Radial Tires for Light Vehicles."
Consequence
Tire separation can cause tire failure and a sudden loss of tire pressure, increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective action
Dealers will replace the tires, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 17, 2026. Owners may contact Vee Tyre's customer service at 1-212-564-7575. Vee Tyre's number for this recall is 20260116.
